Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

Consumers have the right to use Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) bodies to resolve consumer disputes without going to court, quickly, simply and, as a general rule, free of charge or at a reduced cost.

ADR entities are independent bodies authorized to mediate, conciliate and arbitrate consumer disputes that appear on the official list of ADR entities published by the Directorate-General for the Consumer.

In the event of disputes arising from purchases of goods or services contracted online, consumers can turn to a competent ADR body.

The updated list of ADR entities is available at: Direção-Geral do Consumidor website: https://www.consumidor.gov.pt

Online Dispute Resolution (ODR)

Consumers can use the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform to resolve disputes arising from purchases of goods or services contracted online.

The RLL platform is available at: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
